Have I mentioned my studio? It’s my favorite place.
In October 2016 Sam Colt and I signed the lease to our beautiful studio. 10/10 at 10 am, it was in the stars! Right place, right time, right people. Is that what they call serendipity?! Here is a sweet pic of Sam and I in our new digs.
Sam and I had known each other for years but never really had the opportunity to sit down and connect. You know those people you meet that you really want to hang out with but life takes over and its five years later! Well that’s Sam and I. Fortunately for us, our kids met, hit it off and planned a time for the 5 of us to get together. Two weeks later we were signing a lease on a studio space in a beautiful old brick building in downtown Montpelier. Our studio shares the same building with The Drawing Board (our town’s independent art supply store), The Savoy (central Vermont’s own art-house movie theater), and Vermont Violins (lessons and repairs). We consider it to be a bit of an artistic hub over here on the south west end of Main Street.
Sometimes you just need to jump into a decision, full steam ahead and don’t overthink it. That’s exactly what we did and three years later I couldn’t be happier with that decision.
