For Returning & Experienced Painters

A seasonal exploration of color, observation, process, and abstraction.

Each six -week session of Golden Gals begins with the colors of the season. We’ll slow down and really look at the world around us—from the warm, glowing colors of early autumn to the muted palette of stick season and the quiet colors of early winter.

We’ll create our own seasonal color swatches, mixing and experimenting to capture the colors we’re actually seeing in our environment. From there, we’ll use those palettes as a starting point for layered abstract paintings, exploring mark making, color relationships, texture, and process.

You’ll work with the paints you already have, along with additional colors I’ll provide for you to experiment with before deciding whether they belong in your own paint collection. Each session will have a new seasonal palette to explore, so there’s always something different to discover.

Golden Gals is designed for intermediate and experienced painters who are ready to experiment, loosen up, and deepen their relationship with color.

Classes are held at my studio: 24 Main Street, Second Floor Montpelier, VT

Please note: The studio is located on the second floor and is not handicapped accessible.

Due to limited class size and studio space, all sales are final and refunds are not available.
