A 2-Hour Gelli Plate Printing Workshop for Total Beginners
Curious about Gelli plate printing but have no idea where to start? Come play!
This two-hour, hands-on workshop is designed for total Gelli plate newbies. We’ll learn the basics of how a Gelli plate works, how to use a brayer, what kind of paint to use, and how to build layers, create texture, and pull a print.
Then we’ll get messy and start experimenting.
We’ll play with color, texture, layers, marks, and all the happy surprises that happen when you start pulling prints. There’s no pressure to make a masterpiece—this workshop is all about the process, experimentation, and having fun.
Think of it as a permission slip to make a big old mess.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a stack of your own Gelli plate prints to take home, along with the knowledge and confidence to keep playing with your plate.
All supplies are provided. Just bring yourself and a willingness to experiment.
