Come explore color in a welcoming, relaxed studio environment. This guided acrylic painting class is designed for anyone who wants to build confidence with color while enjoying a regular, creative practice.
Over four weeks, we’ll create a small, personal book of color studies inspired by the color wheel. Using just three colors plus white, we’ll mix our way around the wheel—building tints of each hue and discovering a wide range of combinations. In the following classes, we’ll begin a second book using acrylic paint, Posca pens (acrylic markers), and stencils to create bold, layered designs.
Each session offers something complete on its own while also contributing to a growing collection of color references, making this class ideal for both first-time students and those who enjoy returning to continue their exploration. The class is designed to be repeated, with new palettes and combinations explored each session.
This class pairs beautifully with Brave Beginner and is a natural next step for students who want to keep painting and deepen their relationship with color. All levels are welcome.
This is time set aside to slow down, play, and grow your confidence with color in a supportive space.
All supplies are provided—just bring yourself and your curiosity.
Classes are held at my studio, 24 Main Street, Second Floor, Montpelier, VT. Please note this space is not handicapped accessible.
